Under the expanded program, retailers and home brands set the colours, sizes, trims, thread counts, fabric composition, fill weights and barcodes, and packaging is built to their branding. Fabric sourcing, production, quality checks, labelling and retail-ready packaging are handled in the company’s own facility. The approved spec sheet is kept on file, so a second run matches the first without a further round of sampling. Runs start small enough to test a new range and scale once it sells.
“Most suppliers get the first shipment right. The trouble shows up on the third and the fourth,” said Salman Rehan, CEO of Northern Linens. “A slightly different white, an extra half inch of shrinkage, a seam that sits wrong, and the room no longer matches the one the buyer signed off at handover. Nobody notices at the point of delivery. They notice when a guest is standing in it. Holding the spec on record and making the goods ourselves is the only way we know to stop that happening.”
The manufactured range covers bed linen sets, duvets and duvet covers, comforters, pillows and pillowcases, decorative cushions, mattress protectors and pads, blankets and throws, bath towels, table linen, kitchen aprons, drapes and hangers. Standard sizes run from twin through king, including twin XL. Supplying the full room from one manufacturer reduces the number of purchase orders a property raises and the number of suppliers it chases when a line runs short.
Products are specified for commercial rather than domestic use. Fitted sheets carry reinforced corner elastics and deeper pockets that hold on mattresses of 12 to 20 inches, before a topper or protector is layered underneath. Fabric is selected for how it survives industrial laundering rather than how it presents in a showroom, and products are built to hold shape, colour and fit through repeated commercial wash cycles rather than through a single one.
Core lines including sheet sets, towels, pillows and duvets are held in stock at warehouses in Canada and the United States. Stocked items ship within days, orders are dispatched from the site closest to the buyer to keep freight costs and delivery windows down, and specialty sizes and custom runs are made to order against a firm date confirmed before the order is accepted. For new builds and phased refits, delivery schedules are agreed in advance, and repeat orders can run on a fixed cycle.
Minimum order quantities vary by item. Stocked products can be ordered by the carton, which suits a single property placing a first order, while custom and private-label production carries a higher minimum confirmed at quoting.
Every order is checked against the buyer’s approved spec before it ships, covering stitching, dimensions and colour, rather than passing a general quality check. Fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified and tested for harmful substances before they reach production.

What they need from a manufacturer is not a lower unit cost. It is the same product twelve months later, and a spec sheet that has not quietly drifted.”
